I've been to this bakery twice before, but nothing wow-ed me. Then I had an appt at Sutter and searched for bakeries. Came across this bakery again and read the Yelp review about how amazing the chocolate chip cookie was, so I walked over during my 2 hour lab wait - hehe, I was retesting my blood glucose level for diabetes. I thought I'd sneak in another sweet treat before having to find out that I'm diabetic still. I even made the effort to walk over - it's totally walkable from Sutter except, you meet quite a bit of interesting people (pretty diverse area now). Anyway, about the cookie - don't skip on this chocolate chip cookie. I saw the cookie on display and it already looked delicious. It was exactly how I imagined it would taste like - decadent, chewy, slight crispy on the edge, perfectly sweeten, buttery-ness goodness. I gobbled it all in about 3 minutes. I can't even remember if I was chewing properly because it's been such a long time since I've eaten a good cookie. I'd love to try the other cookies too, but the chocolate chip cookie is already heaven. Just can't imagine how good the other cookies would be. Anyway, I got my blood results and I'm no longer diabetic! This means I can have two cookies next time :)

An incredible and precious bakery that can't be compared to any other bakery! I'm happy that I don't have to go to another city to buy bread anymore.

I'm kind of glad I don't live closer to this bakery or I'd have addiction issues. It's situated inside the Castro Valley Marketplace so you can pick up some other things while getting your baked goods fix. Panna cottas are always at the top of my list and this one outshines its $7 price. Clean, vanilla bean top notes balanced with just enough sweetness from the fruit. I could go on and on about it but I'll just say it's divine and move on. The espresso walnut cookie had that satisfying chewy bit like a good brownie. Both of those cookies disappeared too quickly; I should have stocked up. I had the Cheddar Scone the next day and it held up! Of course I took a bite while it was in its prime, to compare. The flavors aren't shy so if you have a meeting right after, might want to grab some gum to counteract any garlic breath.

I have had my share of Kouign-Amann from top chef owned businesses, and even tried one from different bakeries outside of California. My vote validates that this is truly a renowned Kouign-Amann, as noted on Yelp, as it is the best I have had so far! It melts in your mouth and has this sweet, buttery flavor that I haven't tasted in any Kouign-Amann I've eaten from other bakeries. I have eaten this after re-heating it in the toaster oven and also eaten it without being heated, and IT IS MOUTH WATERING GOODNESS WITH EVERY BITE, EITHER WAY! Every time we go to Seven Hills Baking Co, we always buy multiple Kouign-Amanns for our family. Their pumpkin muffin and morning bun are rich and delicious. I went on a Friday once and was excited to see challah bread to take home for our family to enjoy! The staff members are all kind and take care of customers in a timely manner. When you're in Castro Valley, make sure to treat yourself to the freshly baked comfort foods of Seven Hills Baking Co.!

Came to this place on accident in the Castro Valley Market, and now I'm addicted to their ham and cheese quiches. HELP!!! Great service, great baked goods, reasonable prices, and now they have my taste buds in a choke hold.

You can't go wrong with Seven Hills Baking Co! It's located in the Castro Valley market place so there's plenty of parking around. It's across from the beard papas on the first floor once you enter. They have all sorts of baked goods at $3-6 ea. I'm a big fan of their croissants - so flaky. I really like the almond croissants specifically. I've also had a few of their cookies and have not been disappointed. Take the pastries home and warm them up to make it even better. I've lucked out on not experiencing a line here and I assume it'd move pretty quick if there was one. Def worth a try if you're craving pastries while in the area!

A small and unassuming stand with plenty of bakery goods. My wife loves the almond chocolate croissants here. That's her favorite item here. Other than that, I've had their chocolate and regular butter croissants. They are indeed very good, but not cheap. However, nothing is really cheap these days. Quiche was not bad either, but their croissants still stand out. Even around 8pm on a week night, they still had chocolate and butter croissants. Upgraded their 4.5 stars to 5 stars.

My sister introduced Seven Hills Baking Co to us. Thank you little sister!!! We live almost 4 hours away from this bakery so it is not convenient to come over here whenever we want. Therefore, when we visit my sister and her family, we always request for some goodies from Seven Hills Baking Co. Everything we've tried has been very good. My wife and I have one absolutely favorite item made by them. That would be their Kouign-Amann!!!! If you've never tried this pastry, then you are missing out! Most bakeries do not make this. The ones who do, do not make them nearly as well as Seven Hills. Seriously, I think that they make the best kouign-amann that I have ever eaten in the United States of America!! Do yourself a favor and head on over to Seven Hills Baking Co in Castro Valley. I doubt that you will regret it.

Stopped by the Castro valley market place and stumbled across this bakery inside. To my surprise the items we got were so yummy! I got a Swiss and ham croissant that was so good! The sesame bottom was definitely a game changer! Perfect ratio of cheese, and I appreciate the ham bits that weren't overly chunky! 5/5 I also got the kouign amann, I normally do not like sweets but this was perfect. It was just sweet enough with a crunchy exterior. The inside was soft and buttery, I had so much fun peeling the layers apart to eat. There was a short line upon arrival but it went super quick! They also offer coffee and tea!
